March 26 in the walls Workplace team of business accelerator and eco-system for designers Fashion hub held the first in Russia Fashion harvest! The new format of the “working Saturday” has actually shown how important it is for beginning designers to systematize their knowledge and pay attention to business processes.
If earlier training events for designers were mainly focused on the creative and production component, now an increasing number of young Russian brands are trying to delve into the business and product promotion areas.

Evgenia Zagorodnaya, ideologist and co-founder of Fashion Hub: “We have been exploring the market for training projects for designers for a long time. In October 2015, we held the first practical competition for Fashion Start designers, after which we launched the Fashion Start Up School pilot project. Now many have begun to realize that "Sending a lot of goods that nobody needs, registering a company and sitting without sales is the road to nowhere. The economic situation requires a conscious approach to business: to determine what the audience needs, understand its needs, and then create a unique product that will be in demand."
Natalya Prokhorenkova, co-founder of Fashion Hub: “We support the approaches of Customer Development and Lean Start Up. We have also taken such an important tool as tracker into the arsenal of our accelerator. Each group will have its own professional tracker, regular meetings with which will allow participants not to get too busy and stick to the right path. "
During Fashion Harvest, 10 “Champions” - pre-selected designers - performed short pitches about their projects. After that, participants from the audience joined each team: experts from the fashion industry and related fields.

Moderator Fashion Harvest - an expert on business scaling, co-founder of Fashion Hub Nikita Rozhdestvenskydelivered a short lecture on each block. After that, the participants filled in the outline of the Osterwalder business model, adapted for fashion. Over the course of an hour, the teams worked on two blocks of the ditch: a portrait of a potential consumer (consumer tasks, consumer problems, consumer benefits) and a map of project values (goods and services, factors of assistance, benefits factors).

Experts moved from project to project, helped with the competent construction of a business model, and answered all questions. Among the experts were: ideologist and organizer of the first competition of designers of the practical format Fashion Start, co-founder of Fashion Hub Evgenia Zagorodnaya, co-founder of Fashion Hub, a serial entrepreneur with 11 years of experience and international business experience Natalya Prokhorenkova, co-founder of Fashion Hub, a professional fashion project manager with 12 years of experience Oleg Gruzdev, Founder and CEO of Y Consulting Daria Nuclear, beneficiary and one of the founders of the brand Elena Shipilova Gennady Suvorov, as well as co-founder of the Russian brand Kseniya Knyazeva - Denis Pankratov.
According to experts, the best project received a certificate for training in the first stream of the Fashion Hub business accelerator. Became a winner Alla Pencheva - designer of knitted coats and jackets of the Alchare brand!
The selection criteria for the winner were: the commercial potential of the idea, the personality of the founder, inclusion and the ability to work in a team. The decision was almost unanimous.
