Barcelona, the largest Mediterranean port, in whose daily life painting, architecture and design is organically interwoven, the city of Dali and Gaudi, is itself like a huge shopping center.
Performance city, siesta city, showcase city, Barca could well have made the motto of the Spanish store Vincon “I buy - therefore, I exist” as its motto.
The organizational centers of the capital of Catalonia, representing both exclusive Spanish brands and international brands, are a bizarre fusion of all conceivable styles and trends. We can observe a similar picture in any other large European city, but Barca has an advantage: a huge selection of national brands at more affordable prices than in other countries.
The city became world famous for the center of Mediterranean shopping thanks to the Barcelona Shopping Line, the most important shopping highway. A powerful stream of walkers arises in the area of the Old Port, accelerates along the Rambla Boulevard, gathers strength, passing through the Ribera and Barry Gothic quarters, splashes out onto Plaça Catalunya and through Pasec de Gracia, opens onto Avinguda Diagonal, cutting through the city obliquely. Then, weakening, he runs up the shallow streets.
The most important trade hubs in Barcelona are the village of Montjuic (stunning artisans, ceramics, glass), as well as the department stores L'Illa, Pedralbes Center, El Triangle, Maremagnum and, of course, El Corte Ingles. In the main department store in Spain you can buy absolutely everything: from food to electronics, and most importantly - items from the latest collections of famous designers, perfumes, jewelry and watches.
Sitting at a table in the rooftop cafe El Corte Ingles, you can relax from shopping while admiring the amazing panorama of the Catalan capital. A stone's throw from the department store Rambla Boulevard - local Arbat: street artists, “live sculptures” in fancy costumes, flower, souvenir and bird markets where you can buy at any price any living creature from iguana to chinchilla.
You can dine right on the boulevard, waiting for the heat to subside a bit to go further for shopping. Take a break from the colorful performance of Rambla - there are curious shops on the boulevard! In one of them an excellent selection of unique Majorica pearls, Lladro porcelain, mosaic ceramics. Right there, on the boulevard, Kabak women's urban clothing, classic Aramis, vibrant children's clothes in the Gant Store Barcelona.
If the boulevard begins with the El Triangle department store, then it ends with the large Maremagnum store in the Old Port - the crowd will literally take you here along the wooden walkways in the shape of a wave. And no wonder! Tourists are attracted by affordable quality brands Stradivarius, Bershka, Friday's Project, Mango, Boboli, Oysho, as well as more expensive brands.
Behind elegant clothes and jewelry it is worth looking at Avinguda Diagonal, Pasec de Gracia and the streets nearest to them, where boutiques of the most famous designers are located. Prices bite here, but the quality of the goods is worth it, and the choice is simply huge! Spanish fashion is adequately represented by products by designers Adolfo Dominguez, Antonio Miro, David Valls. There are also two department stores here: Diagonal Mar and the exquisite L'Illa - the creation of architect Rafael Moneo.
Spanish leather is traditionally famous for its quality. You can buy expensive elegant items from gloves to long coats at Loewe Pasec de Gracia, an exquisite bag and shoes at the Muxart store, and Camper shoes, unusual for our compatriots, that are beloved by our compatriots - all over the city, in department stores and boutiques.
A special direction is the stores of certain brands, mainly Spanish. As a rule, they are located on small streets and delight with affordable prices and a rich assortment. For example, on the street Pelaya, stretching from the Central University of Barcelona to Plaça Catalunya, fit Mango, Camper, Zoe, Zara.
Unusual and bright clothes for youth from Desigual can also appeal to those serious people who want to leave their tight white collar for a moment, surrendering to the sweet bezel of Barcelona. The Desigual competition is held by the brand more expensive - Custo Barcelona. Dressing up in these colorful tops, shorts, skirts is like sneaking a sneak away to drive away the longing for a vacation in Ibiza.
Especially for explorers of urban jungle and mountain walking enthusiasts - Coronel Tapiocca, Spanish safari: clothes and shoes with romantic elements, but comfortable and stylish. When shopping in Barcelona Shopping Line, don’t forget the main shopping rule in the Catalan capital: don’t worry about anything! Surrender to the relaxed, festive existence of an amazing mosaic city.
