Winners of the Fashion Start 2015 Design Competition

On October 11, the final of the 1st Moscow Fashion Start 2015 Design Competition was held on the territory of Flacon Design Factory.

The main idea of ​​the contest is "fashion in Russia as a business, not a party".
For two months, the jury, mentors and organizers of the competition observed and interacted with the participants to select the most commercially successful and sought-after projects. Out of 148 participants, the best of the best were Daria Privalikhina, In2Into, Dina Agzamova, Maxim Maximov and the duet Mary Mary.
Five semi-finalists presented their collections. In addition to the jury, mentors and experts, the following participants took part in the voting of the 1st Moscow Fashion Start 2015 Design Competition 2015: fashion designer and artist Elena Pelevina, documentary director Valentina Vladislavleva, designer Eleonora Amosova, fashion analyst Andrei Abolenkin, senior designer of Vassa & Co Donat Egorov, fashion blogger Tim Ilyasov, stylist, member of the jury at PROfashion Masters Anna Antonova.
Participants also came to support: Mrs. Russia 2013 Anna Gorodzhaya, popular stylist Ilfat Babanov. Leading the competition made famous blogger, founder of the Material Culture project Tim Ilyasov. Awarded the finalists actress Anastasia Makeeva, which has long been known for being actively interested in modern Russian fashion and prefers brands of Russian designers to Italian boutiques.

By a general vote of the fashion professionals invited to the contest, three winners were selected.

1st place


Became a winner Dina Agzamova with collection Primum (brand Dina Zama)The laconic cut collection of Dina Agzamova is made exclusively from natural fabrics.
The emphasis is on the shape of the products and is enhanced by hidden fasteners and a minimum of decor, and a combination of key colors - black and white - emphasizes the geometric shapes.

2nd place


Designer took second place In2into (University of the Arts London and London College Fashion).
In his collection of accessories into [intu:] into [into:] he beat the principle of the magnetic field and presented the original shoes with heels from unprocessed semiprecious stones.

3rd place


Duet Marymyin which Maria Kizina andMaria Terekhovatook third place. Girls plunged into the original Russian traditions and created a collection of elegant outerwear "Darling".
MaryMary decorated the traditional Russian quilted jackets with embroidery and stones, turning them into fabulous "gas chambers".

(NIUMEITU) made a collection "The reality of geometric imagination"presenting a new look at business youth clothing for active, confident girls.
The idea of ​​the collection is emphasized by a large number of inserts made of genuine leather, swiftness and laconic lines.

Maxim Maximov


Maxim Maximov
(Vitebsk State Technological University) presented the collection "Milan Gallery" in the spirit of the current 70s. Maximov’s products are made in a free interpretation of the classical style, with the lack of clear gender differentiation in it, achieved through a harmonious combination of elements of male and female costume over size.

Rewarding


On October 11, all participants of the contest were awarded. The winner did not get just a prize, but the opportunity to develop and “pack” his brand: a VIP ticket to a business incubator, personal coaching from experts, professional photography, organization of free participation in markets and shows, cooperation with online and offline stores, interviews and publications in MASS MEDIA. The organizers took care of the award for those who dropped out of the fight on August 28. Audience awards were also presented from Keune Design International School and Caspian Fashion Week.
Organizer and ideologist of the competition Evgenia Zagorodnaya: “We are pleased that our first competition attracted a lot of attention from recognized professionals in the fashion world. We are proud of our finalists. We will support and interact with all designers: events have already been planned, in which many of the 20 guys who have passed the first qualification will participate Fashion Start tour. Also, most of the talented guys went into the pilot project of the fashion business incubator. "
