Colorful soft rattles with a ring will be very handy when the baby begins to erupt the first teeth. In addition, such wonderful rattles can be sewn as a gift.
To do this, we put in flaps of different colored natural fabrics: cotton, linen and cambric!
DIY bag for baby supplies
You will need for one rattle:
✽ flap of cotton fabric (pre-wash!) Approx. 40 x 15 cm;
✽ 1 wooden unpainted ring with a diameter of approx. 7 cm and approx. 1 cm;
✽ 1 bell;
✽ residues of cotton yarn;
✽ 1 sharp needle with a large eye;
✽ thread for sewing;
✽ silk paper;
✽ pencil;
✽ paper scissors;
✽ scissors for cutting;
✽ filler
Rattle "circle", diameter approx. 12 cm
Step 1
The circle motif with the indicated markup is drawn on paper with a pencil.
Cut the circle along the contour with paper scissors.
Step 2
Iron a flap of fabric and fold in half with the front side inward.
Pin the circle to the fabric.
With a pencil, mark the outline of the circle and the transverse marks on the fabric.
Mark an allowance of 7 mm wide along the contour of the circle.
Detail cut out.
From the fabric flap, cut a strip measuring 7 x 5 cm (= belt loops).

Step 3
Stitch two circles along the marked line of the seam, leaving a hole for loops in the seam between the transverse marks, as well as an open area of approx. 4 cm for eversion.
Bind at the beginning and end of each line.
Cut the seam allowances to a width of 5 mm.
Turn out the circle and loosely fill with filler.
Insert a bell inside, sew the open section of the seam for turning out manually.
Step 4
Fold a strip of cloth for loops along the front side in half.
Start longitudinal sections 1.5 cm from the bend.
Release the loops using a safety pin and press them so that the seam lies along the edge.

Step 5
Round the loops around the wooden ring.
Push the ends of the belt loops into the hole in the circle.
Sew the open area of the seam manually, grabbing the loops.
Step 6
Cut 5-6 threads of approx. 18 cm
Using a needle, thread the threads into the fabric at the edge of the circle opposite the belt loop, while the threads should protrude the same length.
Tie the threads to a knot under the edge of the circle.
