What to sew for a newborn: we make gifts with our own hands

Lace cap for newborn

You will need:

  • Cap for a newborn or a pattern of a bonnet;
  • Lace or wide lace braid;
  • Cotton or linen;
  • Tailor's scissors;
  • Tailor pins;
  • Needle and thread for sewing;
  • Tie Strap

Step 1

Cut out the details of the cap from cotton:

Side parts - 4x;

Top part - x

Step 2

Put lace on one upper part of the bonnet and pin it with tailor pins.

Step 3

Also put lace on the two side parts of the bonnet and pin it with tailor pins.

Step 4

Sweep cotton and lace parts together.

Step 5

Cut the lace around the edges of the bonnet parts.

Step 6

Chip or sweep the bonnet and lining parts. Get off.

Step 7

From lace or lace, cut a strip with a scalloped edge.

Step 8

Pin it, and then stitch a strip with a scalloped edge to the bonnet, folding the parts with the front sides.

Step 9

Cut off excess lace to allowances on the bonnet.

Step 10

From the finished tape cut two pieces for ties.

And sweep or pin them to the bonnet.

Step 11

Put the bonnet into the lining.

Chip off the parts and grind, leaving a small opening for turning out open at the bottom of the bonnet.

Step 12

Turn out a cap. Sew the open area manually with a blind seam.

Step 13

Iron and line along the entire perimeter of the bonnet.

Done!
